Hasbro’s Wizards of the Coast and SEGA are teaming up for a fast-paced collaboration with a sequence of three limited-edition Magic: The Gathering (MTG) card drops impressed by characters and artifacts from the Sonic universe.
Launching July 14, the trio of collectible drops options each new character playing cards and reimagined MTG staples, provided in common and foil editions. The sequence shall be accessible on-line.
The Associates & Foes drop contains seven authentic cards depicting fan-favorite characters like Sonic, Tails, Amy Rose, Knuckles, Shadow, Dr. Eggman, and Sonic’s Tremendous State. Authentic paintings — together with contributions from Sonic artists making their Magic debut — brings every design to life.

In Chasing Journey, current MTG playing cards akin to Sol Ring, Fabricate, and Beneficiant Present get a Sonic-themed makeover, full with an unique Treasure token.
The third drop, Turbo Gear, places a high-speed spin on highly effective artifacts. These embrace iconic MTG gear remodeled into Sonic-style objects — like The Reaver Cleaver as “Knuckles’s Gloves” and Weatherlight as “Twister, Sonic’s Biplane.” This set is designed to pair with the Associates & Foes drop for deeper gameplay customization.
