It’s alive! After the success of its first Spooky Awards, the Halloween & Costume Association (HCA) is reviving the celebration for one more yr of honoring horror.
The 2025 Spooky Awards acknowledge the onerous work that creators and producers dedicate year-round to creating recent, frightfully enjoyable Halloween merchandise. From equipment and decor to masks and make-up, this honor spotlights the varied expertise, creativity, and innovation that make the season magical. Submissions will open subsequent week and be accepted by way of Aug. 15.
This yr’s award classes embrace Halloween staples like Make-up, — together with Character, 3D, and Scary/Horror — Equipment, Masks, and Decor. Costumes will conjure six subcategories: Grownup, Little one, Licensed, Most Distinctive, Non-Character, and Scary/Horror. Merchandise may also win an award for Packaging; Sustainability; Range, Fairness, & Inclusion; and Most Revolutionary. Every entry shall be judged by a panel of business specialists on innovation, marketability, trendsetting potential, enchantment, and usefulness.
